9 Mile Run in Coronado

I started the run at Sunset Park where the Silverstrand Half Marathon would start. I then made it over to the ferry side of the island. Beautiful views abound looking across the bay. It was a hot day at 30C. But the course is almost flat, making it easier to move along. This run allowed me to look at the Coronado Bay Bridge from under the bridge. The Coronado golf course is pretty big. My original plan was to along Tarawa road, but I could not get through since it belongs to the Naval Surface Force restricted area. So I went across the Silverstrand Boulevard and started heading back to Sunset Park along the beach walk.

6 mile run in UCSD/Glider Port on August 12, 2014

I have been thinking about doing a run in UCSD campus for a while. There's just something about university campus that I find appealing. The run started and ended in Glider Port. I did not know before the run that there's a woods area with dirt trail within the campus. So it was a pleasant surprise for me to have the dirt trail in the early part of my run. There are signs along the trail that show 5K and 10K courses. I felt tired though during the run. Maybe it was because I did not sleep well the night before when Seth woke me up around 3am. Anyway, I am glad I did this run. I enjoyed it.

A 14 mile run in Point Loma, August 8, 2014

This run started and ended in Shelter island. I did not plan it to be that long. My original plan was to take Kellogg Street up to Catalina Boulevard in order to reach Cabrillo monument. But Kellogg Street became private at San Gorgornio street, so I had to turn around and went downhill to Rosecrans Street. It also turned out that Rosecrans went into the military area so I had to turn around and took Talbot Street to get to Catalina. There're still about three miles to the monument from there. At the park entrance, I was stopped by the gate attendant and he wanted $3 from me before I could get in. So I turned around to go down on Catalina.
